band experience), or play for the band directors to see which advanced band you are
best fit for (at least 1 year of playing experience), please click the large blue

6/7 - If your child will use a school-loaned instrument (Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet,
Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, F Horn, Euphonium, Tuba) we are anticipating that they will
be ready to be picked up by you starting on Monday, June 18th. Other dates and times
will be posted here and e-mailed to all parents so keep an eye out! Summer Band Camp
is scheduled for August 6-9 (Monday through Thursday) from 8AM to 4PM and those who
attend the camp will be eligible to attend our Pool Party on Friday, August 17th
from 10AM to 12PM! Details are on the red link above!
2/28 - If you are a 5th grade parent or student, please click on the link above for
information on instrument interviews. Please sign up online (via Sign Up Genius)
to reserve an appointment time to try instruments and get settled for next year!
1/21 - Popcorn sales (Order forms and Money) are due THIS FRIDAY 1/26 for all considering
an incentive. After this day, no more incentives will be earned. All sales are due
by Monday, 1/29 as the order will be turned in by this date.
11/4 - Congratulations to all our All Region Candidates for competing at the Region
29 Band competition! This year, Rawlinson had 19 students selected for The All Region

9/26 - Band Fees are due NEXT WEEK! The fee for Beginners is $40, and the fee for
Advanced Band members is $55. This fee is only required for students who did not
join the Rawlinson Music Lovers membership. If you are an active member, the items
in the band fee are covered as part of your donation. The fee will cover your child’s
Band T-Shirt, Solo Contest piano accompanist fees, and Formal Uniform alteration/cleaning
8/29 - Band Forms are due Friday 9/1! Also, any school-loaned instrument forms and
$30 payment is due 9/1 as well. Advanced Band and Jazz Band students are now playing
their instruments in class daily. Beginner Band students need to bring their instruments
on Thursday 8/31. If you would like to call, please call Mr. Cortes at (210) 397-4900

8/4 - Summer Band Camp is scheduled Monday 8/7 to Friday 8/11 from 8AM to 4PM. All
Advanced band members (A1, A2, A3) are invited to attend the camp FREE of charge.
This is a very important start to our new school year and all instruments will have
esteemed guest instructors from throughout the San Antonio area. Should you have
questions, please e-mail one of the band directors. Do not try to call yet because
our voicemails have not been set up yet and we do not know how long it will be before
